Constructionline Gold Member

We are registered members of Constructionline. Constructionline is the UK’s largest pre-qualification certification scheme for construction-related contractors, consultants and material suppliers. Its aim is to provide efficiency savings to public and private sector procurers and the construction industry as a whole by streamlining procurement procedures. Langstone Construction Group have been a member since the Company’s inception.

SSIP Acclaim Accreditation

As an SSIP member scheme, Acclaim Accreditation supports the objectives of SSIP to improve health and safety standards across the UK and reduce duplication of paperwork in procurement.

SMAS

SMAS Worksafe is one of the UK’s leading providers of health and safety assessments and a national leader in providing full-form SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). SMAS Worksafe helps contractors demonstrate their health & safety compliance to clients and meet construction and related industries’ pre­-qualification requirements.

Langstone Construction Group are an accredited member of SMAS/SSIP and have been since its inception. We welcome the work of SSIP to simplify prequalification, and to encourage straightforward mutual recognition between its Member Schemes. Langstone Construction Group actively supports the work of the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP Forum), and the arrangements by which the Member Schemes of the Forum achieve mutual recognition of each other’s Health and Safety Assessments. Mutual recognition is possible because all the assessments meet the standards of the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations 2015.

Considerate Constructors

Langstone Construction Group register our projects with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The scheme is concerned with any area construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole.

The main areas of concern fall into three categories
the general public, the workforce and the environment.

We have received performance beyond compliance and excellence awards for many of our sites, and continue to work at achieving this on all sites.

All our sites registered with the Scheme are monitored against the 5-point Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage performance beyond statutory requirements. The Code consists of the following sections: Environment, Appearance, Safety, Workforce and Community.

National House Building Council

Langstone Construction Group are registered members of the National House Building Council, which states its primary purpose as raising the construction standards of new homes in the UK and providing consumer protection for homebuyers.

Prompt Payment Code

We are members of the PPC, which is a voluntary code of practice for businesses and sets standards for payment between organisations and suppliers.

We undertake to Pay suppliers on time, within agreed terms. Give clear guidance to suppliers on terms, dispute resolution and prompt notification of late payment. Support good practice throughout their supply chain by encouraging the adoption of the Code.

The 5% Club

LCG are members of The 5% Club. This is a dynamic movement of employers committed to earn & learn as part of building and developing the workforce they need as part of a socially mobile, prosperous and cohesive nation. The Club exists to help its members and all employers increase further the number, quality and range of earn & learn opportunities across the UK.

Blue Marble

We have partnered with Blue Marble to develop our carbon accounting process and platform in order to provide highly accurate greenhouse gas inventories, with a view to reducing our emissions and CO2 removals.

Langstone Construction Group are officially Carbon Neutral as assessed by Blue Marble. Carbon neutrality is important for our industry as it helps mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

It demonstrates environmental responsibility, ensures compliance with regulations, and can lead to cost savings and efficiency through energy-saving practices.

CLOCS

Construction Logistics and Community Safety (CLOCS) is a national standard that requires all stakeholders in construction to take responsibility for health & safety “beyond the hoardings”. Langstone Construction Group are a CLOCS Champion committed to eliminating incidents between construction HGVs and pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. We take responsibility for health and safety beyond our site hoardings and implement measures to prevent fatal or serious collisions between vehicles servicing construction projects and vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists.

Living Wage – Accredited Employer

We are an accredited living wage employer. The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate based on the cost of living. It is voluntarily paid by over 13,000 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs.

We are registered members of Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, who are the biggest charity organisation in the promotion of health & safety and accident prevention.

Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

Its two principles are that, recognising the unique obligations of, and sacrifices made by, the Armed Forces:
