Secured through a competitive tender process and delivered for RCT, the project involves the design and construction of a modern specialist care accommodation for people with learning disabilities in adulthood and older age.
Replacing the previous facility which had reached its end of live and demolished under a separate contract. The scheme is delivered on a constrained site, in a residential area with a nursery and primary school as residents.
The development that includes 14 en-suite bedrooms and a respite room built across a lower ground floor, a ground floor, and a first floor with a courtyard positioned to the west of the building, while the existing car park and site access point is retained.
The development includes modern facilities including a laundry facility, staff restroom, three day rooms, three sensory rooms, a commercial kitchen, toilet areas, nurse station, hairdresser, assisted bathroom and a training room.
