The project comprises the re-purposing of the existing warehouse to house a new process engineering facility to allow on-site sterilizing of healthcare and medical equipment. The scheme involved coordination of the process equipment supplied by the client’s French supplier, construction of internal operators control rooms, switch & comms rooms. Extensive new and reconfiguring of services. Construction of an external steel frame canopy to house new process equipment and nitrogen tanks. External concrete hardstanding’s.
The works were carried out within a live commercial environment where the emphasis was on maintaining production, maintaining access for delivery and collection articulated vehicles at all times. Ensuring safety for Rocialle staff as works progress.
Further insight into the development of the scheme can be seen in this Project Ronsard update shared during construction.
Rocialle has since shared details of the completed facility and its role in ethylene oxide (EtO) contract sterilisation, highlighting the importance of the new process capability.
